Still Britain's largest one-day regatta, with 272 races - eights & fours only. Rowed over 1200 metres on the River Great Ouse from Bedford County Bridge to the Butterfly Bridge.
But the event seems likely to move soon to the new 2000 metre, Banyoles-style Wilmington Lake where mineral extraction has now started.
