Novice and Beyond, the Spanner Years

Kate is nicknamed Spanner because she's a car mechanic

This is Kate winning the womens novice double sculls at Ross on Wye in 2002, then a grade up a year later in the womens senior 4 double sculls.

In 2004, she was in the womens senior 2 eights at Peterborough and womens senior 3 single sculls (not so good ... still exhausted from winning the eights final!)

Kate's thinking about getting back into a boat for some more racing. But 2 kids on, she says it's going to take some doing!!!
