The Schools Head of the River, Tuesday 10 March 2009
|218 crews competed in 17 categories on Tuesday 10 March 2009 in the Schools' Head of the River, Chiswick Bridge to Putney (4.25 miles).
Championship Eights Winners were Eton, beating last year's champions Shrewsbury into second place.
The Girls' Championship Eights was won by Lady Eleanor Holles, with Headington second ... repeating last year's verdict. But provisional times were identical, reflecting Headington's great effort to claw back a 9-second gap in the Women's Head three days earlier.
